Masters Upgrade 25, 50 or 100 Gross Ton

The Masters upgrade course that allows qualified Captains a way to upgrade to a Masters License. A Master license allows you to operate Uninspected and Inspected vessels. Inspected vessels are licensed to carry more than six passengers and must be built in compliance with the stringent USCG Commercial Vessel Inspection standards. This class is the same for 25, 50 and 100 Ton license. The difference will be determined by the size of vessel that you used to gain the appropriate sea time.

Auxiliary Sail Endorsement

This course is an endorsement for your 25-100 Ton Masters. This endorsement will allow you to operate an inspected sailing vessel.

OUPV or "Six Pack"

OUPV stands for Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel. This license allows Captains to operate vessels of less than 100 gross tons carrying up to six passengers for hire plus crew. OUPV Vessels are normally fishing, SCUBA diving, tour vessels. While still regulated by the USCG, uninspected vessels are LESS regulated than inspected vessels.

Plotting (charts)
Navigation - General
Deck General and Safety

Assistance Towing Endorsement

This course is an endorsement that allows you to offer assistance towing. This would be the type of towing offered by towing companies like Seatow and Towboat US.
